November 1st author event! Holiday hours!

Please join us in welcoming local author Emmanuel Williams . He will be discuss his new book, 'Loving: Truths About Sex No One Told You'. As he says:

"Here’s a collection of stories from people all over the world, and here are some insights about sex that seem to make sense of these stories. The stories are very probably true (unless I call them a scenario). The insights should be taken as intuitions rather than statements of fact, or truths set everlastingly in reinforced concrete. It’s up to you what you make of them. I ask that you try not to react to them, but to take them in and ponder them, feel them out, match them up against your own experience and see if they fit, if they make sense to you.

Loving is not an abstinence manual. Written for young sexually active adults and for their parents; it's intended to help its readers make more conscious choices about their sex lives."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Williams will be here to meet you and discuss his book, Saturday November 1st. 2pm to 4pm. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two book events, first weekend of October!

Hello everyone, I'd like to invite you to come to two exciting book events this weekend. First, we will be hosting a book signing for Greg Cochran . His first novel, 'Saving Grace' has recently been published. ----Greg will be here Saturday, October 4th, from 2pm to 4pm. Come meet him, discuss the book and Pacifica life.----

Here is a brief synopsis:

"While visiting his hometown, Pacifica, Ca., Jake Brodie is visited by an angel. The angel explains to Jake that there is a task that he must perform, and that he will need to stay in Pacifica a while longer than he had planned. Without explanation of what the task is, the angel leaves Jake, who finds himself transported back to 1938!

With no money, odd clothing, nowhere to go, and no idea of what his task is, Jake finds himself in a very different town than the one he is familiar with. While wandering the streets of the sleepy coastal community, Jake meets his own great-grandfather, and without revealing his identity, takes a job working for him. He also meets his own father as an infant, and comes to blows with his ne're-do-well grandfather, John. As the weeks pass, Jake is taken in as a member of the family..."

Author event Saturday, September 13th.

Come join us and meet author Laura Del Rosso. She will be discussing her book Great Escapes: Northern California . The event starts at 2PM, Saturday, September 13th. We hope to see you!

About the Book

Great Escapes: Northern California is geared to time-starved
vacationers who may have only 48 hours, 24 hours, perhaps even just eight hours
for a quick getaway in Northern California.

It's not designed as a comprehensive guide. Instead, it's an assortment
of possibilities for those traveling to Northern California or who
live here. Some chapters are devoted to well-known places such as Yosemite
and the Napa Valley, others are off-the-beaten-path: Downieville, the
North Sonoma Coast and Lakes Basin, for example. Chapters on San
Francisco avoid tourist areas and focus on a couple of vibrant neighborhoods
where locals eat, drink and play.
